Picture Cakes

Thunders can help you eat your images on our ‘Picture’ Cakes!  Simply upload your favourite images, photos, paintings or drawings with your order and we’ll recreate it in edible form. Our software can convert any image from JPEG format to an edible print suitable for the top of most cakes.  Our process is quite safe as we print your images on an edible printer with edible inks onto a rolled icing disc. We will include a printed message for a clean and crisp finish to your edible ‘Picture’ Cake.  A hand piped message is also available if you prefer.

What cakes are suitable for images?

We recommend our buttercream range of cakes to be decorated with edible images.  This range of cakes do not require storage in a fridge as they are safe at room temperature.  Our edible icing is also best stored at room temperature making it a perfect fit for the buttercream range.  You can choose your flavour of buttercream and simply upload your image.  Our chocolate biscuit cakes and sprinkle cakes would also suit for a more luxurious creation.

How much notice do I need to give for a ‘Picture’ Cake?

Thunders will need a minimum of two days’ notice to add your image to your cake.  You can order your cake online or you can place your order directly with your local Thunders Bakery.  We’ll need you to email your image to info@thundersbakery.ie.  Your email should also include the message you need on the cake, the shop you have placed the order in and the date you need it for.
