Will we use Great Granny’s christening robe that she’s been keeping safe in the attic for 50 years recently discovered in a spring clean? or Aunt Susan’s crocheted robe she made from Mother in Law’s pattern while travelling around Europe and now she’s back home ???   The pressure to please can be daunting !!!

Let us take the pressure out of the decision for the perfect Christening Cake.  As experts Thunders Bakery will offer and recommend the perfect cake for your celebration.  You can go choose from a variety of flavours including white sponge, chocolate sponge and red velvet.   This range of Buttercream Christening Cakes are finished, as standard, with a white iced top and an accent colour for the piping and message.  We also offer a choice of edible and non edible baby accessories to compliment your cake.   Our ‘Baby in a blanket’ is hand made with edible icing and comes a choice of colours.  Our ‘baby booties’ are not edible and make for a lovely keepsake for the Christening Day.

How do I order my Buttercream Christening Cake?

We can take your order over the counter, over the phone or online.  We will need three days notice from you to make sure we have time to bring all of the elements together for your perfect christening cake.

When should I order my cake for?

We would advise that you order your cake for the collection or delivery the day before the big day.  This will take the stress of one less job to do on the day of the Christening.  Our buttercream christening cakes have a 3-5 day shelf life and are perfect for planning ahead.  Just collect or have it delivered one day before the big day and store in a cool room before serving.

Where can I collect my cake?

Thunders Bakery is located in 12 locations around Dublin.  We have a delivery service up to 2pm Moonday – Saturday to most areas in the Dublin area if you prefer.
