Our Book cakes are available in White sponge, chocolate sponge, red velvet, and Chocolate Biscuit. We hand carve each cake into the shape of the book and fill the layers with buttercream. We cover the top of the cake with white Cova-paste, an edible image, and royal icing. Your message is hand piped with dark Belgian chocolate. The look of the finished cake is the same for all flavours as you can see in the product pictures. You can choose from yellow, pink or blue for the rope in the middle of the cake.

Our standard Confirmation book cake is a 10″ cake on a 12″ board and is available as large as a 14″ cake on a 16″ board. The standard cake weighs approx 2kg and serves 30-40 people.
After receiving your cake we recommend that you store this cake in its box and in a cool room. This cake should not be stored in the fridge as the royal icing and image may deteriorate in cold temperatures. Once you have cut it you can then pop it into your fridge for maximum freshness.
We are currently taking orders for all of our confirmation cakes for 2023 and recommend that you place your order as early as possible.
You can order your cake for collection free of charge from your local Thunders or online for delivery in Dublin only. We understand how busy the day can be and with this, in mind, we suggest doing as much as you can in advance. Confirmation book cakes are either buttercream or chocolate biscuit They are, therefore, suitable for collection the day before your Confirmation to make sure you are fully prepared in advance.
