Thunders Traditional Sta⭐ry night Christmas cake is meant for sharing with friends and family over the festive season. Our Recipe has plenty of fruit, spices and Irish whiskey for perfectly rounded rich fruit cake for the Christmas season. A rich fruit cake isn’t Christmas cake without a generous layer of hand made almond paste, and you’ll find plenty.
Traditionally decorated with royal icing, hand made gingerbread stars and festive decorations, this year, if you order before December 5th 2022, we’re giving you the choice of either royal icing or Cova paste icing.

This cake will last you a couple of months, so it really depends on how long you want it to last. The recommended portions are below in the table of contents for all three sizes of this cake, and the portions are based on the single slice of cake you’ll find in all of our locations for November and December. If you want to keep your cake fresh after Christmas for a few weeks, we suggest you wrap it up in some cling film or tin foil and store in a cool, dry press.
