The XOXO heart cake will come in handy for all kinds of Anniversaries and birthday’s throughout the year.
The burn away paper is heavy edible rice paper card.
It burns much slower than the video below to add to the suspense of the reveal.
It’s best to use a match rather than a lighter to start the burn, we tried both and the match was safer for the person lighting the cake.
Wait for the burnt pieces of rice paper that remain to cool before you pick them off the cake

What type of cake is it?
You can choose from red velvet cake with cream cheese frosting between the layers of sponge and a Chocolate cake which is suitable for vegans and finished with vegan buttercream. Both flavours will be finished as you see in the images. All you have to do now is choose your colour scheme and pop in your message.
Keep this cake in a cool room. Try not to keep it in a fridge because the rice paper will start to soften and may drop onto the lower image.
